Internet Computer finality time
As of November 3, 2026, Internet Computer finality time is 1.0 s at the median (p50, 24h window), with 1.3 s at p90 and 1.8 s at p99. Internet Computer ranks #9 of 18 chains measured on this benchmark.
An Internet Computer subnet finalizes a block, executes it, then threshold-signs the resulting state, and only certified state is served. A `read_state` answer carries the certified `/time`, the nanosecond batch time the block maker wrote into that block. The figure, 1.0 s (p50, 24h), is that time to the moment the certified state reaches us, polled every 250 ms on the NNS subnet (home of the ICP ledger), with the arrival taken at the midpoint between two answers. The certificate signature is not verified, since only the timestamp is used.
